When you make an order and do not send payment I can't return the snacks to the store! I want to provide fresh snacks to everyone so please keep that in mind! Thanx!!
Recently I have had more and more people order and not pay, they have many excuses, some are quite reasonable I know that sometimes the unexplainable comes up. But payments do not get lost 3 times in the mail. I get payments and other mail from many countries all over the world including the USA every day. In 17 years only a couple of pieces of mail have gone missing and usually they were cash sent from smaller Asian countries. However one person who has two or more payments that have gotten lost doesn't seem to make sense now, does it?
It is also amazing how people drop off the face of the earth! They are usually the same people who ordered something and did not get an immediate response, they emailed me many times very anxious and I got their order together and and soon as I sent the confirmation I never heard back. These people emailed me more than once a day to ask questions and get updates and then they disappeared. Recently I was told "this person doesn't work here anymore, I can't help you" yet the email address was a personal address, not a company address. Very strange!
It isn't only new customers, I have very recently been stiffed with a huge box of Kit Kats and chips by a repeat customer who also emailed me every day for about two weeks and then suddenly never responded to my emails for payment. Deadbeats come from everywhere and from all countries though I must admit most of the deadbeat buyers are from the US.
I can not keep this site up and running if I continually lose money on orders. Belive me if I could eat all the things I get stuck with either from things I bought to take pictures of, things people changed their minds about after they asked me to buy them and then realized what they were and those that get all packed, boxed and out to the car but the payment never comes... then I could easily be 1,000 pounds. NO, I can't eat all the stuff people stiff me with, I can give it away to good customers, which I do sometimes. I also sometimes give it to the neighborhood kids or mail it to my mother to give to her students but none of those options pay for the items which means it all comes out of my own pocket.
I am not a big company, I am one person. I do not have a warehouse, I have a living room and a spare room to keep my goodies in. I work 15 hours a day and then go shopping for orders. I come home late at night and if I am lucky and my husband is not traveling with his work he'll wrap my orders up for me, sometimes he'll do some shopping as well. If I am not lucky I will be wrapping your order at 2 in the morning and sending your confirmation about 3 am and then trying to get to bed to wake back up at 5 am. Sometimes I have to clean house, cook, do laundry and other things. I am not J-List or the other big sites you may have ordered from in the past, I do not have a warehouse and employees stocking your orders. I do not get to buy in bulk or wholesale at discounted prices. I buy at retail prices including Japanese sales tax and that is what you get. When you do not pay I have wasted my time emailing you, shopping, wrapping and emailing you again. I have also wasted money that I might need at the end of the month to pay my rent or other bills.
Ordering from my site is not a game. I am now blocking senders who do not pay because I don't want to hear stupid excuses three months down the road.
Another change to the ordering system will be that I am going to have to start collecting money before I shop. That means that you may not get some items you want because by the time I get your payment and then go to shop they may not be available any longer. I will refund your money with your order but you may be disappointed soemtimes. I am sorry to have to make this change but I really can't get stuck with any more snacks!!
